How this scam works

Gambling, Satta Matka and colour-prediction apps take deposits via UPI to personal accounts and block withdrawals once balances grow.

• Deposits to personal UPI IDs
• APK instead of Play Store app
• Withdrawal blocked or needs extra deposit

If you're targeted

1. Don't pay, don't share OTPs or PINs, and don't install any app they suggest.
2. If money was sent, call your bank and then 1930 within the first hour — quick reporting gives the best chance of freezing the money.
3. File a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in and keep screenshots and payment details as evidence.
