How this scam works

Fraudsters use leaked Aadhaar numbers and copied fingerprints to withdraw money through Aadhaar-enabled payment points without any OTP.

Warning signs

• Money withdrawn without an OTP
• You shared fingerprint or Aadhaar copy with an unknown agent
• Biometrics not locked on mAadhaar

If you're targeted

1. Don't pay, don't share OTPs or PINs, and don't install any app they suggest.
2. If money was sent, call your bank and then 1930 within the first hour — quick reporting gives the best chance of freezing the money.
3. File a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in and keep screenshots and payment details as evidence.
